Glaubt mir, das will man gar nicht so genau wissen - da ist unegfaehr so ziemlich alles vom Schaf kleingemacht und vermengt worden, was sonst nicht gebraucht wird ( http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haggis ), aber die Schotten stehen drauf und es ist sowas wie ein Nationalgericht, also habe ich es tapfer probiert, sonst waere die Erfahrung ja nicht komplett gewesen!!! Und ich muss gestehen: es schmeckt gar nicht schlecht! Wenn man beim Essen nicht weiter drueber nachdenkt, was man isst, dann koennte man fast denken, man hat grad in eine Frikadelle oder Aehnliches gebissen - so ungefaehr schmeckt's! Also dann, guten Appetit! You won't believe it, but with this opportunity, I tried the scottish speciality Haggis!!!! I do not know if everybody knows what it is, but believe me, you also not necessarily want to know!!! ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haggis ) But without trying it, the Scotland-experience would not have been the same, and I even have to admit, that as long as you do not think about what you are just eating, it does not even taste too bad! It is very much similar to tasty german meatballs (which do not content similar ingredients, usually), so... enjoy! :-)
Nun, ich war mal wieder unterwegs!!! Letzte Woche (und ja, ich habe 2 Tage Seminar geschwaenzt!!!) bin ich mit Judith nach Schottland gefahren, denn ihre Freunde hatten dort Graduation (Abschlussfeier). Sie hat ja ein Jahr lang in Dundee studiert, das ist ein bisschen noerdlich von "Edinborrah" (so aehnlich wird es ausgesprochen:-) ), und wir haben 2 Tage lang die Gegend dort unsicher gemacht. Schottland ist auch wunderschoen, und bestimmt ein Fleck, wo ich nochmal hinkommen werde, denn ich habe erst viel zu wenig gesehen!!! Also denn, stuerzen wir uns mal wieder in einen Fotomarathon (leider war das Wetter sehr bedeckt, deshalb koennte ein falscher "Industrie-Stadt"-Eindruck entstehen), denn Edinburgh ist eine schoene Stadt und liefert tausende Fotomotive :-) I'm back from Scotland, where I spent a few days last week, with my roommate Judith (and yes, I missed 2 classes at the Uni :-) ) Judith has been studying for one year at Dundee, which is situated a little north from Edinburgh, and now visited some friends for their graduation. Scotland is beautiful, and so is Edinburgh, though the light was not the best one for taking pictures, that day. But I will definitely go back there one day, for E. and the countryside are such wonderful places to be!!!
Am letzten WE (18.-21.11.) hat mein "alter" (er ist grad mal ein paar Tage aelter als ich :-) ) Schulfreund Andi mich hier in Londinium besucht - leider konnte ich nicht soviel Zeit fuer ihn eruebrigen, wie ich gern gewollt haette, denn die Hausaufgaben haben es mal wieder nicht zugelassen (Sorry nochmal an dieser Stelle, Andi!!!). Jedoch haben wir es trotzdem geschafft, uns eine nette Zeit zu machen, und ich habe mich sehr gefreut, dass er hier war!!! Durch ihn habe ich neue Ecken von London und neue, sehr nette Menschen kennengelernt... und hatte mal wieder die Gelegenheit, ueber das Leben an sich zu philosophieren ;-). Wir haben es uns gut gehen lassen! See you @ X-mas!!!!!! Last weekend (18.-21.11.) my "old" (he's only a few days older than me, actually) schoolmate Andi visited - unfortunately, I was not able to spend as much time with him, as I would have liked to (homeworks are still crazy)- sorry about this again, Andi!!! However, we managed to spent some quality-time together, and I was very happy to have him over! I even got to know new places and new verynice people through him, so thanks for that :-) - and finally, I got the opportunity to philosophise about life itself again (one of my favourite occupations ;-) ) We had a great time, and I'm looking forward to see u @ X-mas again!!!

Air Theater, in die (aus den) Klippen gehauen, in jahrelanger Arbeit von einer Frau und zwei ihrer maennlichen Freunde: da hat jemand einen Traum gehabt, und ihn verwirklicht! Es muss ein unglaubliches Erlebnis sein, dort eine Auffuehrung zu sehen (es wird im Sommer immer benutzt)! Die Aussicht ist atemberaubend!
This is a singular open air theatre, built into/from the cliffs of a woman and two of her friends: she had a dream, and made it reality! It must be a stunning experience to actually see a play there (it is used in the summertime) The views are incredible!
http://www.minack.com/dayvisitors/history.htm Den Abschluss der Tour bildete Land's End, das ist der westlichste Zipfel Englands (und wir haben Fotos, Fotos, Fotos gemacht :-) ) Aber nun ist es Schluss, das war die letzte Station und zu Eurem Glueck hab ich jetzt grad ein Upload-Problem, also Ihr muesst nix mehr ueber Cornwall sehen oder lesen... aber wer halt nach all den Bilderfluten immer noch mal wieder reinschaut ist selber Schuld, und hat es nicht anders gewollt :-)The last point was Land's End, the most western part of England, and we took loads of pictures :-) Now that was the last part about Cornwall, I am done as there just occured some upload-problem with the blog, so I do not bother you with it anymore... but then, it is your own fault, if you still keep reading my blog :-)
Ein neuer, herrlicher Tag, blitzeblauer Himmel, frische Luft, das Meer und die tolle Landschaft - das sind die Momente, wo man weiss, dass man lebt und dankbar dafuer ist (ich weiss, das hoert sich jetzt sehr tiefsinnig an, aber ich bin so froh, das alles erleben zu duerfen und geniesse es so sehr!!!)...A lovely day with blue sky, fresh air, the sea and the landscape - one of those very precious moments, which make you aware and grateful that you are alife (this might sound too deep now :-), but I am so happy I can experience all that, and enjoy it so much!)...
Puh, nach einer langen und anstrengenden Woche habe ich eigentlich nicht wirklich viel Zeit, um ausfuehrlich die weiteren Erlebnisse zu schildern (denn was Ihr bisher gesehen habt, war erst ein Teil vom Ganzen), aber ich wollte dennoch weitermachen, denn es gibt mittlerweile schon wieder neue Fotos, und ich muss mich hier ranhalten :-)
Cornwall ist ein altes Land, und weil es in der Eiszeit nicht von Eis bedeckt war, haben dort schon damals Menschen gelebt; dementsprechend gibt es viele Spuren, und Steinkreise, Huenengraeber und sonstige "Kraftsteine". 3 davon haben wir besucht, bei dem ersten musste man sich 3 x durch die runde Oeffnung des Steines zwaengen (Fruchtbarkeits-Ritual ;-) ), zweite Station war ein altes Grab, das von der Witterung freigelegt worden war, und das dritte war ein sehr schoener Steinkreis, in dem wir mit Metallstaeben (Wuenschelruten?) die magnetischen Energiekreise im Boden aufspueren konnten - sehr spannend, und ich habe es auch erst geglaubt, als die Staebe in meinen eigenen Haenden reagiert haben... sie waren an bestimmten Punkten magnetisch, und an anderen nicht (man hat sogar rausgefunden, dass dieser Steinkreis auf derselben magnetischen Bahn in Verbindung mit Stonehenge und noch einem anderen bekannten Steinkreis liegt!) Alles sehr interessant und spannend, und dunser Touri-Fuehrer hat das auch alles sehr nett erzaehlt. Erstaunlich, was die Menschen auch damals schon alles wussten...Well, after another busy week I still have to complete the Cornwall post, for you have only seen a small part of the pictures, and there are already new ones, which wait to be posted, and I have to catch up a little... Cornwall is a very old country, and because during the ice age it was not covered by ice, people were living there there since thousands of years. They have left many traces, like old grave stones and stone circles, and as you can see, we have visited three of those places. The first place had a fertility stone, so we had to pass through the hole 3 times, to fullfil the ritual. The second place was an ancient gravestone, and the third was a stone circle, which is supposed to be situated and related to the same magnetic line with Stonehenge and some other famous place. We were able to find out about the magnetic attraction with some dowsing rods, and I did not believe it, until I tried it myself and found out it worked ;-) It was very interesting to see those places, and see what huge knowledge people had in ancient times...
